Happy Catholic Schools Week!


Catholic Schools Week starts Sunday, January 31.  Here is the schedule for the week:
Sunday, January 31- Open House 11:30 am- 2:00 pm
Monday, February 1- No School
Tuesday, February 2- Dress Down Day (jeans, sweatpants, sweatshirts, etc.)
Wednesday, February 3- red, white, or blue shirt, crazy socks, uniform pants
Thursday, February 4- Jersey/Jeans Day 
Friday, February 5- School Spirit (jeans and CKS shirt or sweatshirt)
Invite-a-Friend from 10:15- 10:45 am in the church basement.  Students can invite ONE adult to come to school for a snack and to see our classroom.   Invitations went home last Wednesday.

Our 100th Day is coming up on Thursday, January 28!  All the information went home this week!  Remember that students can dress up like they are 100 years old on Thursday.  If you have any questions, please let me know!  It will be such a fun day!

Starting the first week of February, we will have Fireside Reading.  Guests can come and read to the class.  There are a few spots left!  If those times don't work for you, please let me know and we can work something out!


Remember since we're after Christmas, students need to come to school with their shirts tucked in and they need to write their first and last name on all of their work.

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!  Thank you for all of the incredibly thoughtful Christmas presents!

There is a lot going on in kindergarten over the next few weeks!  Please let me know if you have any questions!

January 11- 2:00 Dismissal
January 18- No School
January 19- Snowman Family Project is due.  This is not a "disguise" project, like the turkey.  Instead, you should decorate the snowman together using things you already have at home.
January 28- 100th Day of School We have LOTS of fun things planned for this day, including dressing up like you're 100 years old.  More information will come home in the next few weeks.
January 31- Open House
February 1- No School
February 5- Invite-a-Friend During Catholic Schools Week, students can invite ONE adult to come for a snack and to visit the classroom.  It will be at 10:15 and start in the church basement.  Invitations will go home next week.
February 12- Valentine's Day Party at 2:00.  All parents are invited to attend.
February 15- No School
February 18- 2:00 Dismissal
February 26- End of 2nd Trimester
March 1- Flat Stanley Project due.  Flat Stanley and instructions will go home on Monday.
March 4- Dr. Seuss Day Read-In Students can invite a guest to come to the classroom and read with them from 12:00-12:30.
March 16- 2:00 Dismissal
March 18- Father's Mass at 8:15 am
March 25- No School
March 28- No School

During the month of March, we learn about Community Helpers.  We are looking for a few people to come in to talk to the kindergarteners.  If you know anyone who would be willing to come in and speak to the class about their occupation, please let me know so that we can schedule it.  Thanks!
