We are going on a field trip with our 8th grade buddies to Dinges Fall Festival in Three Oaks, Michigan. The field trip is on October 9th. This is the same day as picture retakes. We will take retakes before we leave. If you want to get retakes, feel free to dress your child however and then bring a change of clothes (jeans and Friday shirt or uniform shirt) for the field trip. Students will need to bring a sack lunch that day. Permission slips are going home today.

Reminders:
-Scholastic orders are due at the end of each month. Your orders make it possible to get free books for our classroom library. You can order online at scholastic.com. Our class code is MCLHL.
- Please do not send in candy for lunch or snack.
- Letter homework will go home every other Friday. This will allow you time to work on both sides. Your student should complete a little of the homework each night. Don't complete it all in one sitting! Please help your children with their homework and make sure they properly forming their letters and starting at the right line.
- Alphabet Awareness Assessment results will be going home next week. Please review the results and start working at home.
-Please label all sweatshirts and jackets with your child's name.

Thanks to all of the parents who came to Back to School Night last night! Let me know if you have any questions about any of the information. A few reminders:
- Letter Homework will go home every other Friday for the beginning of the year. Please work with your child a little bit each night and then send in completed homework the following Friday.
- All About Me Bags should be sent in by Tuesday(if you haven't done so yet). We are sharing a few each day to get to know our classmates!
- Saxon Math practice will go home on Mondays (Tuesday next week with the holiday). No need to send those back in to be checked!
- Please send a snack every day except Fridays because we will be cooking.
- I will send out 2 signups through Volunteer Spot. One is for materials for our science experiments. The other is for our cooking supplies each week. You will get a reminder email when your supplies are due. Thank you for your donations!
