On Monday my mom, Dr. Carey, came to visit our class and she gave a presentation for dental health month.
To celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday, our Read-In is next Friday, March 6th from 12:00-12:30. Students can have a guest or guests come and read with them during this time. You may bring in books from home or they can read books from our classroom.
Our school Lenten Service Project is collecting items for Our Lady of the Road. Kindergarten is collecting donations of winter gloves.
Report cards will go home next Friday (March 6). If you have any questions regarding the report card or your child's progress, please contact me to set up a conference.

Dibels Results- Our reading assessment, Dibels, results went home this week. If you have any questions or would like to review them, please let me know!
Writing Prompt- We also did a writing prompt and the graded rubric went home this week. Students should be writing at about a level 8 by the end of the year.
Valentine's Day Party- Our Valentine's Day Party is next Friday, February 13 from 2:15-2:45. Parents are welcome to attend, but per school rule, no siblings please! Please send in your Valentine's Day box and valentines for 22 students by Friday. Also, students may wear a Valentine's Day shirt with uniform pants on Friday.
There is a 2:00 Dismissal on Thursday, February 12.
Our field trip is Tuesday, February 10 to see Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse and other Kevin Henkes stories. Students should wear their uniforms and we will be back in time for lunch.
We started working with our iPads this week. Students were so excited! We will be using iPads for enrichment and accommodation purposes, during Daily Five, and during our Math Stations.
