Remember that Friday is our Community Helpers Dress-Up Day!  It is also a 2:00 Dismissal.

We started a new positive reinforcement system last week using ClassDojo.  Students and tables try to earn points by doing the right thing.  The student and the table with the most points at the end of the week earns something from the treasure box.  We are still using our sticker charts, behavior calendar in folders, yellow cards, and earning baseballs for compliments.


Our Students as Teachers project begins on Wednesday, April 13.  Below is the schedule for the presentations.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Wednesday, March 16 is a 2:00 dismissal.  Please let me know if your pick-up arrangements change on that day.

The Father's Mass for the Feast of Saint Joseph is next Friday, March 18 at 8:15 am.  It is an all school Mass.  Students can invite a father or father-like figure to come to Mass with them that day.  Please drop off backpacks in the classroom and then immediately head over to the church.  The church fills up very quickly, so get here early.  The side chapel and the cry room are also available for seating.  Any student who does not have someone to sit with will sit with me.  We will not have our normal Wednesday afternoon Mass.  Let me know if you have any questions on how this works.

No School on March 25 (Good Friday) and March 28 (Easter Monday).

We are learning about Community Helpers during the month of March.  We will be having Community Helper Day on Friday, April 1st.  Students can dress up as the community helper of their choice.  I will send home more information next week.

Today is the last day to sign up for Young Authors' Conference on Saturday, April 16.  More information is in the Communication Folder.

By this point, students should have mastered sight words from Trimester 1 and 2 and be able to recognize them with automaticity.  Any sight words that were not known were bolded on the report card.  Please practice at home!
