Hope everyone had a great week!  We had fun celebrating Mrs. Crawford's birthday yesterday!

On Monday you receive the results for our first assessment.  The assessment is an alphabet awareness assessment.  Please practice letter recognition as well as letter sounds and writing capital and lowercase letters at home.  Also, make sure your child is writing their name with a capital letter to start and then all lowercase letters.

August 29, 2014

We had a wonderful first week in kindergarten!  Thanks to all of the parents who have already sent in our science experiment supplies.  Remember that there is no school on Monday in observance of Labor Day.

I will try and post every Friday so that you have what we will be working on the next week.  Please reinforce the concepts at home as well.

The Saxon math sheets that will be going home are for additional practice.  There is no need to return them to school.  Additionally, if your child is absent, there is no need to return the make up work.

I'm still missing 4 composition notebooks.  If you haven't sent it in or if you have an extra at home, please send it in.

Finally, if you were not at back-to-school night and would like to sign-up to bring in cooking and science supplies, please email me.

Have a great week!

Miss Carey
